What kind of treatment does Main Place offer?
We offer assessments and consultations, medication assistance treatment, and a wide range of group and individual counseling. Individual counseling focuses on reducing drug use and addressing hard to manage areas of your life such as: employment status, legal and/or family relationships. We use Cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) which aims to prevent relapse and provides the individual with training to recognize situations or states of mind where they’re most vulnerable to drug use. It also teaches the individual how to cope with situations that may lead to relapse. Motivational interviewing (MI) is also used. This type of therapy is intended to improve self-motivation for change and recovery. Group counseling is effective due to the social reinforcement offered by peer discussion and support.
